I think online dating is okay but not for me. A friend of mine got married via twitter. I met his wife in Seattle at the Microsoft conference in 2013. They seemed happy.
But, some of them are acting differently from their actual selves. For example, one old man is pretending like he's a teenage girl. I think they just do it for fun, and are not serious. However, if the partner didn't know the fact and he felt in love, that would create a problem.
In my opinion, if you want to see someone, you should meet up first.
Going out and enjoying the real world is important.
Online dating should be just for fun. Trying to meet people is good for you.
